Job Summary:
CCRI’s Department of Art, Art History & Design invites applicants for future adjunct positions. This posting is not for an immediate vacancy but for upcoming opportunities. By applying, you will be placed in a pool of candidates who will be reviewed when a suitable position becomes available.
SUBJECTS:
- Art History: Ancient to Medieval
- Art History: Renaissance to Modern
- Art History: Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas
- Art History: Modern through Contemporary
- Introduction to Visual Arts
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach Ancient through Medieval and Renaissance through Modern art history survey courses, Modern through Contemporary Art, and/or Art of Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas;
- Use CCRI LMS and other technology to deliver and/or enhance instruction, submit reports and grades, and effectively communicate through email, and conferencing platforms.
- All instructors submit to the college documentation of their courses for assessment and verification of student engagement.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Art History or related field required, PhD in related field preferred.
- Experience teaching college-level Art History courses, as the instructor of record.”
- Ability to use LMS and other technology to enhance instruction, to submit grades and to use email effectively.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and a collaborative approach to working with students and colleagues.
- Ability to contribute to a dynamic teaching/learning environment requiring adaptability, creativity, and teamwork.
- Willingness to teach at multi-campus locations and satellite sites.
