Testing Center Proctor (Clerical)
Work Schedule
Tuesday-Friday 5:00pm-9:00pm and Saturday 7:30am-12:30pm but hours and campus are variable.
Job Summary
The Testing Center Proctor supports secure, equitable, and student-centered testing services across CCRI campuses. This role provides flexible staffing to meet peak testing demand while ensuring testing integrity, accessibility, and compliance with institutional, legal, and professional testing standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Proctor in-person and remote examinations in accordance with CCRI procedures, test publisher requirements, and professional testing center best practices.
Verify test-taker identity; clearly explain testing procedures; actively monitor testing sessions; and enforce exam rules to protect test security, confidentiality, and academic integrity (FERPA-aligned).
Implement approved accommodations for students registered with Disability Accessibility Services, ensuring compliance with ADA and Section 504 requirements.
Prepare, maintain, and reset testing rooms, materials, and technology; respond to routine technical issues during testing sessions.
Accurately document testing activity, irregularities, and incident reports using established systems and protocols
Deliver professional, respectful, and student-centered customer service, referring concerns to Testing Center leadership as appropriate.
Serve on an on-call basis to support evenings, weekends, off-cycle testing, workforce/credential exams, and high-volume periods.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Comfort working in structured, rule-governed environments with diverse student populations
Preferred Requirements
Prior experience in testing, education, student services, or customer-facing environments
