Electrical Instructor
Job Summary
The Division of Workforce Partnerships works in close collaboration with industry and business leaders to ensure the college's offerings are meeting both current and future workforce needs.
The Electrical Instructor will create a safe academic environment that encourages student engagement, while effectively delivering the program curriculum. As such, the instructor is expected to plan, organize, and teach in a manner that produces student competency in the discipline area.
Duties & Responsibilities
Track, document, and ensure students have the 144 required hours at the completion of the program year
Ensure that state and national apprenticeship standards are being met
Along with Lead Instructor sign off on student attendance and hours at the end of each school week
Adhere to CCRI policies and legal regulations
Communicate expectations, assignments and responsibilities clearly and professionally to students
Develop a syllabus that clearly outlines the course requirements, goals, and objectives of the course.
Prepares class sessions and assignments to help students grasp course content and how it integrates with overall student learning outcomes for the course
Teaches course according to the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) standards and in accordance with defined course standards and outcomes
Creates a learning environment that encourages student involvement and participation Documents students' attendance, participation, and academic progress
Submits course grades by assigned date
Minimum Requirements
Master Electrician with 5 years in-trade experience
Must be able to use technology in classroom instruction
