Transportation Staff Assistant
JOB SUMMARY
The Staff Assistant, Transportation provides administrative and clerical support for Workforce Partnerships Transportation programs and services. The position provides information and assistance to students and prospective students, responds to routine and escalated inquiries regarding registration and enrollment, maintains accurate student and program records, and provides administrative support related to the delivery of transportation classes and activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of Workforce Transportation programs, services, and registration processes.
Respond to student inquiries and emails escalated by the One-Stop department and provide appropriate information or assistance regarding registration, enrollment, payment, scheduling, and other program-related questions; refer issues requiring program-level decisions or intervention to the Director or appropriate staff.
Perform routine data entry and update student information in the electronic Student Information System in accordance with established procedures.
Assist with routine administrative tasks related to class enrollment and scheduling and notify registered students of cancellations, delays, or other program changes as directed.
Maintain accurate files and ensure the security and confidentiality of program and student records.
Operate standard office equipment, including copiers, scanners, fax machines, and related equipment, as needed.
Participate in staff development activities offered through CCRI and/or the Division.
Work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues, students, and community members in a diverse and inclusive environment.
Perform other related administrative and customer service duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
Adept at customer service, administrative tasks, and tracking
